Diamonds
Buying someone you love a diamond should be an exciting and enjoyable experience. Not filled with anxiety and intrepidation about technical detail. Allow us make it as simple as possible - once you have decided you want to buy a gift of a diamond then relax - we will take care of the rest.
You may be familiar with the terms of diamond qualities. Throughout the world the "4 C's" are used to classify the rarity of diamonds Cut, Colour, Carat and Clarity.
Cut
Refers to the angles and proportions of a diamond that the master cutter will use to reveal the stone's true brilliance, there are many shapes of diamonds, the most popular being brilliant, princess, marquis, emerald and pear all of which need to be cut in perfect proportions.
Clarity
The greater the diamond's clarity, the more brilliant, valuable and rare it is.
Colour
This refers to the degree to which a diamond is colourless. The higher the grade the rarer the diamond.
Carat
In a properly cut diamond the carat weight determines the size of the stone. A diamond with a good cut, clarity and colour is of higher value than a lower quality higher carat weight.
The quality of a diamond is the 4C's coming together; if the colour is right and clarity is good a properly cut stone will give an amazing sparkle called brilliance and rightly so, this is what makes a high quality diamond, the carat will determine the size.
If a diamond is marked or badly cut the light going through the top will either not make the back to reflect or will reflect at the wrong angle, the result will be a poor sparkle no matter what the carat weight is.

Buying a Ring
How to Measure Your Finger
If you need to find out your ring size we can offer you a ring sizing kit for £5 which is redeemable against any ring purchased.
Tips For Measuring Ring Size
Here are some tips to make your ring size measurement more accurate: After sliding the ring sizer on, make sure it slides off fairly easily over the knuckle.
Don't measure cold fingers. This is when fingers are their smallest. For the most accurate reading, measure the finger at the end of the day when the finger is the largest.
Tips For Buying Ring as a Surprise
Getting it just right can be tricky, but not impossible.
Ask your partner's mother or one of her friends if they know her finger size.
Borrow one of your partner's rings (from the correct finger) and slide it down a tapered candle. Then measure according to the ring sizer you received in the mail or using the chart above.
